Strathcona could be considered part of Cove Cliff. Between Wickenden Park and Dollarton area, Strathcona remains the site of a government wharf and waterfront properties. Seycove Secondary School was built off Strathcona Road, to serve the needs of the growing communities of the area. Shops and business grew up along Deep Cove Road. A restaurant, originally named the Amble Inn, was a favourite of area residents, and over time evolved into the Raven Pub, retaining their place in the neighbourhood.
The Society acknowledges that the land of the Seymour Communities is the unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We continue to learn and celebrate the culture, history, stories, and people of the Tsleil-Waututh.
